Born at the Border.
Built for the future.

Founded in 1904 as a family-run customs brokerage, Joffroy has spent four generations turning borders into bridges.

Today, we power fluent, connected trade across Mexico, the U.S., and beyond with innovation that moves industries forward.

1904

(01)

The Decision.

Alex Joffroy refuses to pick a side. Opens a U.S. Custom House Brokerage and a Mexican Agencia de Aduanas in Nogales — both operations in one brick building. Two signs. One institution. One process.

1913

(02)

The Reckoning.

The Mexican Revolution confiscates the business. Alex flees to San Francisco. He returns with nothing but his name.

1916

(03)

The Return.

Alex returns to Nogales with a typewriter and one principle: trade is one process, not two. No capital, no infrastructure — only knowledge, relationships, and reputation.

1930s

(04)

Market Leadership.

By the 1930s, Joffroy controls 60% of cross-border trade in the Nogales corridor — rebuilt from a typewriter.

1976

(05)

The Third Generation.

Leadership passes to the third Joffroy generation. The operating principle holds: trade is one process, not two.

1982

(06)

Building the Infrastructure.

Joffroy opens its first warehouse in Nogales — the physical foundation for the next chapter of cross-border trade.

2007 – 2011

(07)

Continental MX Expansion.

Building on a century of cross-border discipline, Joffroy extends its Mexican customs operations: Monterrey (2007), Laredo TX warehouse (2010), Nuevo Laredo customs (2011). The 1904 principle reaches Mexico's most strategic trade lanes.

2012 – 2018

(08)

Binational Customs at Scale.

Joffroy formalizes its U.S. Customs House Brokerage: Nogales (2012), San Diego with Joffroy Group LLC (2016), Laredo branch (2018). The original 1904 vision — same broker, both sides — now serves the entire corridor.

2021 – Today

(09)

Continental Platform, AI-Powered.

Manzanillo customs operations complete the three Mexican customs patentes. Logistics USA expands the 3PL footprint. Today, Joffroy operates across 39+ ports with 250+ specialists and 190K+ annual cross-border operations — the same operating decision Alex made in 1904, now at continental scale.
